The Kitchen Gallery started in 2003 as an exhibition space attached to the studios of two artists; Sarah Nicholson and Stanislaw Jan Krakiewicz.

In 2006 we successfully held the First Kitchen Gallery Open Art Competition for Contemporary Artists in the North West. In August we exhibited Contemporary Craft by North West Crafts People and in September we showed the work of Lisa Ashcroft the winner of the First Kitchen Gallery Open Art Competition.

In April 2007 we successfully applied for Arts Council support for a group exhibition entitled “You Are Here” celebrating the creativity of the area.


 

Studio Artists
at the Kitchen Gallery

Resident artist Sarah Nicholson will be in the studio working on several small projects in the lead up to a major residency. Regular visitors will be able to watch the work evolving into an installation. Also available works by Stas Krakiewicz.
Saturday and Sundays only.

Paint is fascinating and flexable Stuff.
The artists showing utilise the medium in a deverse ways:
whether "figurative" or "abstract", "niave" or "conceptual"
each artist approaches their subject with the diligent attention
to their particular process.
